About Open Day

The Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) is an Inter-University Centre of UGC, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The Centre provides unprecedented support to the Scholarly community and HEIs through various projects and services. The Centre planned to celebrate its First Open Day as an annual event on 16th May 2024 to celebrate the milestone achieved.

The purpose of the open day is to showcase the research activities and projects the centre executed and provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the Centre's research activities and achievements. It is also an opportunity for the Centre to engage with the public, Library and Information Science Professionals, Research Administrators, and Students and to build relationships with them. The open day provides a platform for the Centre to share its vision, mission, and strategies and to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and technological development to provide scholarly resources to the community. it allows visitors to meet the scientists and technical team behind the projects, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of the Centre's work.
